The Team Leader is responsible for supervising and guiding a team of ERP consultants or technical resources to ensure timely and quality execution of assigned implementation tasks.

The role acts as the operational bridge between the Project Manager and execution team, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, quality standards, and documentation protocols. The Team Leader ensures productivity, accountability, and structured task execution within the team.


🎯 Key Roles & Responsibilities

1️⃣ Task Planning & Allocation

  • Break down project tasks into actionable activities
  • Assign responsibilities based on skill competency
  • Define daily/weekly targets for team members
  • Ensure clarity of scope and deliverables before task initiation

2️⃣ Execution Monitoring

  • Monitor progress of assigned implementation/configuration tasks
  • Track milestone adherence
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Identify bottlenecks and escalate risks proactively

3️⃣ Functional / Technical Oversight

  • Validate configurations and customizations before client review
  • Ensure requirement alignment with SRS and approved scope
  • Review documentation prepared by team members
  • Ensure quality compliance before UAT

4️⃣ Client Coordination Support

  • Support Project Manager in client meetings
  • Participate in requirement workshops when required
  • Clarify functional queries raised by clients
  • Ensure MoM action items are executed by team

5️⃣ Quality & Documentation Governance

  • Ensure proper documentation of configurations and changes
  • Maintain version control discipline
  • Validate test cases before UAT execution
  • Ensure internal QA checklist compliance

6️⃣ Team Supervision & Performance Management

  • Conduct daily stand-up/review meetings
  • Monitor individual productivity levels
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance
  • Address minor internal conflicts
  • Ensure accountability and ownership within team

7️⃣ Issue Resolution & Escalation Control

  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues
  • Ensure bugs are logged properly in tracking system
  • Follow up on resolution within SLA
  • Escalate critical issues to Project Manager in timely manner

8️⃣ Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring errors and implement corrective actions
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity
  • Support standardization of implementation templates

The evaluation of the Team Leader shall be based on:

A combined quantitative (KRA-based) and qualitative (behavioral and leadership-based) evaluation approach shall determine the final performance rating.
